Experience
As a retired high school English teacher, tutoring allows me to continue working with students. Helping students on an individual basis is more productive than education in an over-crowded classroom. I have a current Iowa teaching certificate, experience with ACT preparation classes, experience tutoring students in writing, teaching awards include Who's Who Among American High School Teachers and others. Experience in project based learning and other alternative instruction. I motivate students by using relevant topics and focusing on their strengths.
